PETE CASTLE. A LIVE CONCERT IN YOUR HOME!
Via Zoom
Wednesday 16th April. 7.30pm for 90 mins or so…
Traditional songs and stories, mainly from England but with the odd surprise, perhaps.
No theme this time, just a selection of my favourite songs and stories.
Over the past few years many of my performances, both live and on Zoom, have had a theme or a link to a place, an event or a season. That is great, but it leaves a whole swath of my repertoire which I don’t get the opportunity to do very often, including some of my favourites. So this will be a selection of those. With any luck many of them will be new to you, so come and join me. I’m looking forward to it… I hope you are too!
My only problem is trying to decide which ones to do, but you are very welcome to email or message me and suggest something you’d like to hear. I won’t guarantee to do it but you never know... petecastle42@gmail.com

The latest in an occasional series of events in support of FACTS & FICTION storytelling magazine. All income will go to the magazine.
PETE CASTLE has been a folk singer and storyteller for about 45 years! He has worked all over UK and beyond with just about every kind of audience you can imagine. For the last 25 years he has also edited F&F which is probably the only magazine in the world devoted to the art of oral storytelling.
CLIVE PiG is a storyteller, poet and potato juggler. His dynamic delivery of traditional and original tales appeals to young and old, making him a popular performer in the UK and beyond.
This travelling talesman has sung songs on TV in New York City, shared stories in Zaatari refugee camp in Jordan, and spouted poetry at Number 10 Downing Street.
Clive’s storytelling is theatrical and interactive, combining music and song, rhythm and rhyme.
Pete first met Clive about 40 years ago in folk clubs around the Beds/Herts area where they both lived at the time. Pete had recently ‘gone professional’ and Clive was a young up-and-coming ‘punk-folk’ performer. Somewhere and somehow between then and now they both became storytellers—so, as well as stories, there will be a bit of music involved in the performance. Clive featured in F&F in November 2020
